Our family apartment, lovingly known as Colonel’s Retreat is located just across the road on the grounds of our Georgian Apartments. Set over three floors with two bedrooms, a kitchenette, bathroom and super-spacious lounge overlooking nearby Plantation Gardens, this is our biggest (some may say best) apartment.

You can expect the same vintage and quirky features found across the rest of our rooms and apartments, only on a much larger scale. Complete with two super-comfy beds, a sofa bed, shower or bath, mini bar, Nespresso coffee machine, Roberts radio and working area.

What time is check in and check out?

Check-in is from 3pm. If you arrive early and your room isn’t quite ready, there’s plenty of space in our pub to relax, have a bite to eat or a little tipple.

Arriving early and want to head out? No problem, we’ll hold on to your bags until you’re back.

Check-out is by 11am.

How long should you stay in Norwich?

We think a stay of two nights is pretty perfect. A little less? You’ll have a great time (we promise), but there’s just so much to see and do in Norwich that you’ll wish you had an extra night with us. Staying for longer? We’ll give you all the hints and tips to make sure Norwich props the top of your city break list, time and time again.

What are the best things to do in Norwich?

There are so many sites to see in Norwich including the gorgeous Cathedral (as seen from our pub garden) and our historic market in town. We are also a short drive from the Norfolk Broads, which is full of scenic views from land or water.

We love to share our personal recommendations, so feel free to ask us when you’re here- we’re a friendly bunch.

Do you have any parking?

We do have a car park out front which is first come first served, but there are pay and display car parks nearby if we are full.

How do I get to you via public transport?

We are a 10 minute taxi from Norwich Train Station or a 15 minute bus ride on the number 25 so you’ll be with us in no time.

Booking Bits

Can I cancel my booking?

We understand that plans sometimes change, so we try to make our booking policies super flexible. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 12pm the day before your arrival. If you cancel outside of this time or don’t show up, we’re sorry, but we’ll have to charge you for the first night of your stay. The only rate that’s not flexible is the Early Bird, this one’s non-refundable and non-amendable.

Can I make changes to my booking?

Can I get a copy of my invoice?

Of course. When booking online, you have the option to send an invoice in step 2. Missed this step? Not to worry, just ask at Reception and the team will email you a copy. Checked out already? Pop us an email and we’ll send one right over.
